Every year, The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) promotes its global “Earth Hour” during which millions of people around the world switch off their lights for one hour to show support for protecting our planet and stopping climate change. This year, Earth Hour is at 8:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, March 24.
WWF states: “We know that it will take action from everyone—from governments and businesses to communities and individuals—to urgently reduce the emissions that drive climate change and prepare for the inevitable impacts of a warming planet, some of which we’re already experiencing.”
In the past, such iconic global landmarks including the Eiffel Tower and the Hollywood sign have gone “lights out” to celebrate Earth Hour. Show your commitment to the planet and turn off your non-essential lights at 8:30 p.m. on March 24.
