Train Station Adventure: LEGOLAND Discovery Center
Climb, slide, jump and roll around train obstacles inside this all-new play zone! Families can use their imaginations to build their own LEGO® trains together and then test it on the tracks through the city to the countryside- all on a 15 foot long build table!
Hop into the Conductor’s chair and take a ride through the virtual world of Kansas City — see how many famous landmarks you can spot! With more than 10 play interactives, discover something brand new inside Train Station Adventure!
Kansas City Fun Tours: Union Station
See Kansas City aboard a comfortable climate-controlled trolley! The 5-star guides will share their knowledge of Kansas City’s history, attractions, and wonderful dining options. Even locals will be surprised by what they will learn along a 15-mile route of downtown’s hottest spots and hidden treasures.
Crown Center Ice Terrace: Crown Center Square
Kansas City’s only public outdoor ice skating rink celebrates its 45th season of great skating fun. Regular admission is $6, or complimentary for those over age 60 and children age 4 and under. Skate rental is $3, or skaters may bring their own. Hours during February: noon to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; noon to 11 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday.
The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures: Country Club Plaza Area
Current exhibits in this stroll down memory lane for every child at heart include “The 3-Dimensional Imagination of KC-Native Donna Moore” (remember the soft dinosaur punching bag?), as well as “Playing for Keeps: the VFW Marble Tournaments, 1947-1962.” The museum is open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
