Signs your heating unit might need replaced
Age
The average age for a furnace today is 15 to 20 years. If yours falls in this range, it might be time to consider a new one. Most of us would prefer to do the research and make this decision on our own time, not when the furnace stops working and we are in an emergency situation for heat. If your furnace is old, consider looking into replacement options.
Strange noises
Banging, rattling, and popping might be noises you’d expect to hear at a haunted house, but you don’t want to hear them coming from your furnace.
